Make A Harvest Wreath
The fall season is certainly one of Mother Nature's greatest works. This wreath is created from small remnants of fabric, some glue and imagination.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

  • Leaves from outdoors in different shapes
  • One small grapevine wreath
  • Paper backed fusible web
  • Bristol board
  • Fine point marker
  • Fabric scraps
  • Craft glue
  • Small miniatures to finish

INSTRUCTIONS:

Choose some leaves from your yard. Just a few that have a nice shape. I chose two of different size.

Trace around the leaves onto the paper backing side of fusible web as many times as you want leaves. Do a few of each size. An uneven number of each is preferable.

  • Fuse web to wrong side of fabric for leaves following manufacturers instructions.
  • Cut out around leaves.

  • Peel off paper backing from each leaf.
  • Fuse leaves to bristol board.
  • Color around cut edges with marker of similar color to hide colored bristol board.
  • Center small doily and ribbon rose on wreath and glue.
  • Arrange leaves around doily and glue.

On the top add some artificial flowers and use satin ribbon to hold them in place. The satin ribbon is a lovely texture against the roughness of the vine in the wreath. I also added a small straw hat. You can find acorns, dried grass and all sorts of other things from Mother Nature to add to the beauty of your Harvest Wreath.
